SUGGESTED COMBINATIONS
Make your journey through the valleys of the table mountains an eventful experience! Below are a couple of examples of good ways to combine the different visitor destinations. But remember that you yourself can put together a package that suits you. Contact us for more information about activities that are suitable for the season.
EXAMPLE 2-DAY TRIP
Let’s begin our journey through the valleys of the table mountains with elevenses at Åsle Tå, followed by a walk along the winding street, Tågatan, and among the village’s unique crofter’s cottages. We then travel on towards the slopes of the mountain Mösseberg and the historic SPA resort Mösseberg, where we after checking in enjoy lunch in the peaceful lounges. The afternoon is best spent walking in the surrounding parkland, or why not take the opportunity to enjoy a swim or a SPA-treatment. In the evening, we travel north to Wrågården for a culinary end to the day’s adventures. If you’re not too tired, you may want to visit the pub, Wrågården’s Hönshus, where an experienced speaker talks about the drinks that are available at the bar.
Day two begins with a substantial breakfast buffet, before we head out into the countryside. Depending on the season, we watch the thousands of cranes by the lake Hornborgasjön, or perhaps visit one of the region’s most remarkable ancient remains, Ekornavallen. Lunch is served at Löfwing’s Studio & Art Café, where the artist himself presents his work. We finish the day by travelling right between the table mountains to Enoteca Gärdstorp, where we enjoy both food and drink inspired by Italy, sample the farm’s home-grown grapes and hear a talk about Italian wines.
SUGGESTED DAYTRIP
We begin the day with an invigorating visit to Wrågården, perhaps a gentle start with coffee and cake, followed by a fascinating walk through the farm’s unique elk and bison park?
We challenge each other to one of the farm’s many activities, such as football golf, pentathlon or paint ball, and end our visit with a tasty lunch. In the afternoon, we continue our eastward journey and visit places where you can really feel the history – like Kungslena and Gestilren.
We also visit Tidaholm, and if time allows we recommend a visit to Tidaholm Museum with its authentic industrial smithy and vehicles from the Tidaholm Works. In the evening, we finish our journey at the picturesque island Vulcanön in Tidaholm, where VinContoret i Tidaholm offers extraordinary, culinary experiences – with dinner and wine tasting in the carefully restored offices of the old match factory from 1894.
